It is a festival which celebrates the love and duty between sisters and brothers. It signifies the mutual respect and affection between brothers and sisters, on Raksha Bandhan, sisters tie a rakhi on her brother’s wrist. This symbolizes the sister’s love and prayers for her brother’s well-being, and brothers life long vows to protect her. Raksha Bandhan is an ancient festival.

perhaps the most famous rakhi stories in our mythology is that of lord Krishna and Draupadi. The wife of five Pandavas. The Krishna cut his finger while beheading the evil king sishpal in order to protect the good people, Draupadi immediately tore off a piece of her sari and tied around his wrist to stop the bleeding. Krishna said that with his loving act, she wrapped him in debt and he would repay the each ‘thread’ when the time arrives.Many years later, that was how Draupadi saree become endless and saved her embarrassment on the day she was deserved in full public view in king dritarashtra’s court. This the one of the origin stories of Raksha Bandhan.
