The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated Tuesday it would retain the authority to subject airworthiness certificates for all Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes and carry out remaining inspections on newly produced 787s.
The US Federal Aviation Administration stated it notified Boeing of the choice on Tuesday, saying it will retain authority till it’s sure that “Boeing’s high quality management and manufacturing processes are constantly producing 787s that meet FAA design requirements.”
Deliveries of the 787 have been frozen for months as US regulators assessment repairs and inspections for structural defects within the jets. Boeing didn’t instantly remark.
